Ghauz is like a link between generations. Its name, taken from an old occurrence of the name Gosselin, evokes respect for what has been, and the transmission of knowledge from father to son. In fact, Nathaël Gosselin, learned the craft of upholstering from his father over a period of nearly 10 years, thus acquiring a wealth of experience and a meticulous eye for detail. His goal is to create a line of high-quality, elegant and durable furniture made entirely in Quebec. Endowed with an inventive spirit, he experiments with new design techniques, consolidating and improving on what he's already learned.
His wife, Naomi Chassé, joins the adventure, sharing the same dream while developing her own expertise. They took over the family upholstery business, which had already built up a solid reputation, and expanded its reach to become a leading reference in the field.
It was at this point that Guilhem Gosselin, Nathaël's younger brother, joined the company. An accomplice to the same vision, and himself sensitive to the poetry of creation, he contributes his expertise and creativity to further develop the project.
Simon Durocher completes the team with his keen sense of ingenuity and impeccable craftsmanship. Together, they acquire a mastery of the trade and a wealth of experience.
A chance meeting led architect Marc-Antoine Chrétien to Nathaël Gosselin. As the collections took shape, so did their friendship, until they became one with the project. It's a meeting of technical and creative minds, working towards the same goal, the same shared vision.
